These terms govern your use of NoonWell — both the noonwell.app website and waitlist, and the NoonWell app. By joining the waitlist, using this site, or using the app, you agree to what follows. Please read it in the same unhurried spirit we hope NoonWell brings to your day.
If you download NoonWell from the App Store, Apple's Standard End User Licence Agreement also applies to your use of the app. These Terms are written to complement that licence, not to replace it; where the two are read together, both apply. Apple is not a party to these Terms or to any agreement between you and NoonWell — the full Apple-related statements are in section 16. A companion Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information.
NoonWell — this site and the app — is provided by Jędrzej Stefanowicz, a sole proprietorship (jednoosobowa działalność gospodarcza) registered in Poland — NIP 9512542039, REGON 522119984.

Some parts of NoonWell arrive in stages. Joining the waitlist reserves your place and lets us write to you when something is ready; it does not create any obligation to launch a feature on a particular date, or at all. Features described on this site or marked as coming soon are a statement of intent and may change. Where a paid subscription is not yet live, the subscription terms below take effect once it launches.
NoonWell is intended for adults. You must be at least 18 years old — or the higher minimum age that applies where you live — to use the app, join the waitlist, or use this site. By doing so, you confirm that you meet that age, that the email address you give us is your own, and that the information you provide is accurate.
NoonWell is a companion to prayer and reflection. You photograph what is in front of you, and the app offers a passage of Scripture to sit with. Those suggestions are generated by AI and, like any such tool, may be imperfect or unexpected. NoonWell is not a substitute for pastoral, medical, mental-health, or other professional care, and nothing it offers should be taken as such advice. If something you are carrying needs a pastor, a doctor, or a counsellor, please turn to one.
NoonWell works without an account or a login. So you can begin straight away, the app creates a random identifier stored on your device; you are responsible for the device you use it on. If you join NoonWell Groups, you also receive a token that lets you return to your groups — keep it to yourself.
To keep the practice fair and the free tier from being misused, we count how many suggestions are made, on a basis of legitimate interest. Two small records do this work. The first is a short-lived weekly count — keyed to your device identifier, or, where there is none, to your IP address as a fallback — which lets us offer a weekly allowance on our most capable model; these counts, including any IP-address fallback, are kept only briefly (about two weeks) and are then deleted automatically. The second is a persistent, non-identifying note that simply records that a device has used its one free suggestion, so the free allowance cannot be reset at will; it is described further in section 21. Both are used solely for fair use and abuse prevention — never for advertising. We may rate-limit, or restrict a device or account, where we see abuse or attempts to circumvent these limits. The Privacy Policy explains this in more detail.
Please use NoonWell and this site lawfully and respectfully. Do not attempt to disrupt the service, access it or our backend through unauthorized means, scrape or copy it at scale, circumvent usage limits or the free-tier gate, impersonate anyone, sign others up without their consent, or use it to harm anyone. We may suspend or restrict access where these terms are broken.
NoonWell Groups is a quiet space for shared reflection. What you post — your text reflections, comments, and reactions — is visible only to the members of the groups you choose; there is no public feed and no algorithmic recommendation. Today, only text is shared: a verse reference, the verse text, and your reflection transcript. Your photographs and audio are not shareable. These community guidelines apply from the moment you join a group and each time you post.
You are responsible for what you share, and you agree not to post anything that is:
You can delete your own posts at any time. We may remove content that breaks these guidelines and suspend or end a member's access to Groups where needed.
Within the app you can report a post and block another member. Content that several members report is automatically hidden from view pending our review. We aim to acknowledge reports within 24 hours and to act on substantiated reports without undue delay — removing content or suspending a member within a reasonable time. If you need to escalate something, write to us at email.
Anything you create in NoonWell — your photographs, sessions, and reflections — remains yours. You grant us only the limited permission we need to run the service for you: to process the photo you take so it can be turned into a Scripture suggestion (your photographs are not shared with other users — only the text of your reflection, together with the verse reference and verse text, may be shared in Groups at your choice), to transcribe a spoken reflection into text, and — only where you choose to share in Groups — to display your text to the members you choose. We claim no ownership of your content and do not use it to build advertising profiles.
When you share something in Groups, you confirm that you have the right to share it and that doing so does not break anyone else's rights.
To offer a suggestion, the photo you take is analysed by Anthropic (Claude vision); if you record a spoken reflection, the audio is transcribed by Groq (Whisper). Both are based in the United States, which does not have an EU adequacy decision; we rely on the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses, together with encryption in transit, for these transfers. Our Privacy Policy explains these safeguards in detail, and EU/EEA residents may request a copy. These providers process the content only to deliver the feature, subject to their own terms and policies. We do not store your photo or audio: the photo is processed in memory to generate a suggestion and then discarded, and the audio is discarded as soon as it is transcribed; per our agreements with Anthropic and Groq, they process them transiently and do not retain them or use them to train any AI model. We do keep a brief, non-image note of the moment — a short text description of the scene and simple quality signals — so the app can work well.
Because NoonWell is built around Scripture and prayer, using these features may reveal your religious beliefs, which European law treats as a special category of personal data. A photograph you submit for a suggestion may also incidentally include other people, or visible cues about health; the same explicit consent and transient handling apply to any such incidental data, which is never retained by us or our providers and never used for profiling or advertising. We ask for your explicit consent in the app before you first use the camera or voice features, and you can withdraw it at any time from Settings › Privacy › Disable AI Suggestions. Withdrawing consent turns off the camera and voice features that rely on it. Consent to take part in Groups (which sends your chosen display name and any optional place) is separate; you can step back from Groups at any time by leaving your groups and removing your display name in Settings, and deleting your account (section 21) removes your Groups participation entirely.
Scripture suggestions are AI-generated, not chosen by a person. They are not a decision made about you with legal or similarly significant effect: you can disable automated suggestions at any time in Settings, and you may ask us to review a suggestion.
NoonWell Pro is an auto-renewing subscription. Its exact price and billing period are shown to you on the purchase screen before you buy, and you confirm them there. Your subscription is billed by the app store — Apple, or later Google — not by NoonWell. Once purchased, it renews automatically at the end of each period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period.
You manage or cancel your subscription through the store you bought it from. On the App Store, open NoonWell › Settings › Subscription › Manage Subscription, which takes you to your Apple ID subscription settings; you can also manage it directly in Settings on your device under your name › Subscriptions. On Google Play, open the Google Play app, tap your profile icon, then Payments & subscriptions › Subscriptions › NoonWell. On the App Store, cancellation must be made at least 24 hours before the renewal date and takes effect at the end of the current period; on Google Play, you may cancel at any time before the renewal date to avoid the next charge. Whichever store you use, the store's own billing rules govern, and we do not charge for partial periods.
If you reinstall NoonWell or move to a new device, use Restore Purchases in Settings to recover your subscription without paying again. NoonWell Pro is currently in preparation for launch; these terms apply once it is available.
Purchases are handled by the app store — Apple, or later Google — not by us; your subscription status is managed on our behalf by RevenueCat, keyed to your device identifier. RevenueCat receives only your subscription and purchase status — the receipt and entitlement — and does not receive your photographs, audio, reflections, or any information about your religious practice. The relevant app-store terms apply to your purchase alongside these Terms. For billing questions, or a receipt, the app store is the right place to look.
If you are a consumer in the European Union, you have the right to withdraw from your purchase within 14 days without giving a reason. Because a subscription gives you immediate access, at checkout you expressly ask us to begin straight away and acknowledge that, once your access has started, you lose the 14-day right of withdrawal for that purchase. We do not refund partial periods except where the law requires it. Nothing here removes any mandatory consumer protection you have under the law of your country of residence.
Refunds are handled by the app stores under their own policies, not by us. To request a refund for an Apple purchase, use Apple's built-in refund process, reachable from your Apple ID subscription settings or from Apple's support site; for a Google Play purchase, use Google's refund process in the Play Store. For purchases still within the pre-performance window, see your withdrawal right above.
The NoonWell name, mark, design, and original text are ours and are protected by applicable law. Scripture passages are drawn from translations used under their respective permissions. Your own content stays yours, as described above.
Using NoonWell means relying on a few third-party services; you agree to comply with their terms and with applicable export-control laws where they apply to you. In particular, you represent and warrant that (i) you are not located in a country that is subject to a U.S. Government embargo, or that has been designated by the U.S. Government as a “terrorist supporting” country; and (ii) you are not listed on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
For the app downloaded from the App Store, these Terms complement Apple's Standard EULA. Apple is not a party to these Terms. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of the App Store licence and may enforce it against you. NoonWell — not Apple — is solely responsible for the app and its content, for any support or maintenance, and for addressing any claim relating to the app or your possession or use of it, including but not limited to (i) product liability claims; (ii) any claim that the app fails to conform to any applicable legal or regulatory requirement; and (iii) any claim arising under consumer protection, privacy, or similar legislation. Apple has no obligation to furnish any maintenance, support, or warranty for the app.
We commit that NoonWell's features match how they are described on the App Store and on this site, and that they are offered in good faith — without exploitation or misinformation, in keeping with the app's purpose and the dignity of the people who use it.
NoonWell — this site and the app — is offered without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We cannot promise it will always be available, uninterrupted, or free of error. As noted above, it is a companion to prayer and reflection, not a substitute for professional care.
To the extent permitted by law, NoonWell and its team will not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app or this site. Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes any liability that cannot be limited or excluded under applicable law, and if you are a consumer in the European Union, your mandatory consumer protections remain fully in place.
To the extent permitted by law, and subject to the consumer protections that apply to you, you agree to cover us for claims that arise from your unlawful use of NoonWell or from content you post or share in Groups in breach of these Terms.
We may suspend or restrict access where these Terms are broken. You can stop using NoonWell at any time, and you can delete your account from Settings › Account › Delete My Account — or from our web page at noonwell.app/delete. Deletion removes your Groups posts, comments, reactions, memberships, blocks, reports, your usage counts, and your account itself. For fairness, one small record tied to your device — the fact that a free suggestion has been used — is kept so the free allowance cannot simply be reset. This is not personal data and is not part of your account: it is a non-identifying, device-level abuse-control flag that is not linked to your identity, contains no personal information, and is automatically deleted after approximately one year of inactivity. Already-anonymized error logs may also persist for a limited time. The Privacy Policy sets out exactly what is and is not erased, and its retention section gives the full timeframes.
We may update these terms as NoonWell develops. When we do, we will revise the date above. Your continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms. Where a change materially affects a feature that runs on your consent — the camera suggestions, voice reflections, or Groups — or changes the purpose, scope, or providers involved in that consent-based processing, we will flag it in the app and ask for your consent again before the change takes effect for you.
These terms are governed by the laws of Poland, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. If you are a consumer in the European Union, you keep all the mandatory protections of the law of your country of residence, and you may bring any dispute before the courts of your country of residence or of Poland, at your choice — nothing here removes those rights.
